I started something new last week. Whichever verse is upon my heart to pray for my teenagers, I write out on a little scrap of paper. I give this to them before they leave for school & tell them that’s what I’m praying for them that day. Though the boys tuck the paper into their pocket, I’m unsure if they appreciate it; however, I do know it is planting a seed of encouragement & giving them a tangible reminder of God’s Word for their day.
I have been praying for my children since February. It was then that I found another mom to pray with me in a Moms In Prayer group. This organization has revolutionized the way I pray. It is scripturally based, so we pray one or more verses for our children every week. I so enjoy the accountability of setting aside a regular time every week to pray, and the encouragement of praying with someone else for our children and their school. Another mom has joined us in the last 2 weeks, and it looks like we will soon have a 4th!
Love your website. I have a child that is grown–wish they had these websites when I first became a mom! But I do work with children in my church, so keep up the great work.
