Have you ever had one of those days or seasons where you feel like you just don’t have the strength to move forward? Read through this collection of powerful Bible verses about leaning on God for help.
Being a parent can often feel like you’re being pulled in a million different directions with no end in sight. So when hard times come, it can feel close to impossible to deal with things in your own strength for one more day.
Thankfully, you don’t have to.
I know life can throw us all a whole lot of curveballs and tough times can seem like they’ll go on forever! But in the Bible, we can find so much promise and peace, along with the best way to get through any situation – by leaning on God.
There’s something so incredible in knowing that in the midst of it all you can have confidence that the joy of the Lord is your strength. And even in your times of deepest need, He will never leave you to deal with things alone.
If you’re feeling forgotten or in need, God sees you and knows the desires of your heart before you ever ask. Even more than that, he wants to support you in your needs.
There might be days where it is hard for you to see these truths. Come back to this list of verses anytime to be reminded of the love of God and that you can always lean on Him for help!

Bible verses about crying out to God for help
Sometimes we just have to cry out to God for help to get through the things we’re going through. The good news? The Maker of Heaven loves to hear from you! These are some verses to cling to on crying out to a trustworthy God.

Psalm 142:1-3 (NIV) “I cry aloud to the Lord; I lift up my voice to the Lord for mercy. I pour out before him my complaint; before him I tell my trouble. When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you who watch over my way”

Verses about resting in the Lord
If you’re weary and worn out, I feel you. (Especially as a mom!) But one of the most amazing promises we have from God is the promise of rest. Here are some verses about resting in the Lord that we can cling to.
Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV) “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Psalm 62:7-8 (ESV) “On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.”
Psalm 91:1 (NLT) “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”
Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV) “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
Psalm 4:8 (ESV) “In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.”
Exodus 33:14 (NIV) “And he said, ‘My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.'”
John 16:33 (NIV) “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Psalm 46:10 (NIV) “He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Jeremiah 6:16 (NKJV) “Thus says the LORD: Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls.”
Hebrews 4:9-11 (ESV) “So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest.”
These verses all emphasize God’s faithfulness, strength, and willingness to help those who rely on Him.
On the days that seem like nothing else can go wrong, the nights you question what comes next, the Lord is there to hear your pleas for mercy, watching over each and every step you take. He’s there to support you through it all. With his strength you will be able to make it through your situation and find something greater on the other side.
The God of hope is fighting for you, and is offering you the joy, peace and faith you need to make it through your situation. You can do all things through Him!
The Lord knows all, hears all and sees all, dear friend. There’s nothing you could bring to Him that would be too much for Him to handle. Even something as simple as the words, “Lord, help me” can do more than you could ever imagine. He wants to walk through this with you. He wants to support you. He cares for you. My prayer is that you would come back to these verses in your time of need as a reminder that his strength is what will get you through this season. Which of these verses are your favorites?
