Father, I pray my child will help someone smile today.
“A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”
May my child share joy with others.
“Even if I am to be poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrificial offering of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. Likewise you also should be glad and rejoice with me.”
“Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger”
Father God, I pray my child will be loving and faithful.
“Trust in the Lord, and do good;
dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
Father, I pray my child would see loving, godly marriages and learn from their example.
“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”
Father God, I pray my child’s love for You will grow.
Father, I pray that my child will experience God’s love through the Christian adults and mentors in their lives.
Father, I pray that my children will understand that God’s love for them doesn’t change because of their actions.
Father, I pray my children will learn to put others first both in their actions and in their hearts.
Father, I pray my child will view others today through the lens of your compassion.
