Hooray and congrats to Tracey on the birth of her newest baby! Her new book! It has been said that writing a book is like giving birth to a baby and it is true. Lots of hard work and anguish and tears go into a writing project. And lots of death to self as an editor delivers bad news that this sentence or paragraph or chapter just isn’t good enough.
But Tracey didn’t give up and the fruit is ripe! The book is ready to be eaten and bring nourishment and encouragement to moms everywhere. And like a ripe peach or an apple her book is beautiful.
So buy it and savor it and be strengthened by all the years of experience that fed these pages. It’s wisdom for moms. And none of us ever have enough.
Enjoy!
Editor’s Note: Dannah Gresh and Crystal Paine hijack the MomLife Today webisode this week to chat with Tracey Eyster about her new book Be The Mom available now!
Do you ever feel like motherhood is a cycle of never-ending tasks that go unnoticed and unappreciated?
If so, you’re not alone. While being a mom is one of the most important, rewarding jobs you could ever have, it can also be tiring and emotionally draining. In Be the Mom, Tracey Eyster describes seven “mom traps” that moms often fall into, and step-by-step, she provides advice for avoiding and escaping these traps in your own life. Tracey’s delightful, down-to-earth style will make you smile, equip you with the tools you need, and remind you what being the mom is all about.
Can’t wait to read it!
I’m loving it! Knew I would, but still… Read it!
Ok, so pretty much every morning I pull up MomLife Today read the post, pray over how God might use it and push it out into social media. When I read this post – I wept…surprise words of encouragement can have a profound effect on this mom. God is great, God is good and I thank Him….and Barbara, Cindi and Jennifer for their kind words! :0)
Congratulations Tracey! You have had a baby:) I’m so proud of you. I can’t wait to get this for my 5 daughters:). I think I need to buy a case to keep in my car to give to desperate Moms!
love, Susan Yates
