If I had a nickel for every time I heard one of my children say “it’s not fair” I’d be a wealthy woman.
How do I reply to my children when they complain, “It’s not fair”?
Philosophically, with some great wise answer? No.
Spiritually, with great Biblical truth? No.
Something a little less brilliant than that.
Child: “It’s not fair.”
Me: “The fair is in October.”
Child: Blank stare.
Me: Eyebrows up, head nod.
End of discussion.
Really.
If you say it enough, they’ll give up.
{FYI – during the month October the proper reply would be, “The fair is in September.” Mom’s always have an answer!}

Mind if I use this one…
Is this about the Texas state fair?
Life's not fair! We go over that reminder a lot 😉
God bless,
Sallie
I thought this was so funny! I am going to use it. Thanks!
HA! SO trying this. Like tomorrow, most likely within the first 30 min of the day I’ll be able to try it. Before I’ve even had my coffee. Love it, girl.
