I Understand
My daughter Ashley has five, count them, FIVE BOYS! They are all eight and under.
She was recently telling me how tired she always seems to be. Bless her. I listened and tried to encourage her. I remember so well feeling how she feels and I told her so. It doesn’t take away her fatigue but hopefully it does make her feel understood. She knows it will end someday. Today that seems like an eternity away with a 2-year-old and a 1-year-old who have been sick a lot lately and are constantly hanging on her like ornaments on a Christmas tree.
But it does end. They do grow up and leave … and then she’ll be calling to ask me how to deal with a quiet house!
I have four children, three of them boys 🙂 I often say its a special person to have all the same sex of a child. I can't imagine it…lol!
Everyone went swimming with dad yesterday while I stayed home to prepare dinner. It was TOO quiet!! I got jittery just waiting for everyone to get home. I don't think I'll like an empty nest very much!
God bless,
Sallie
